Drypoint and Collagraphy on recycled packaging. Printed on paper [29.7 cm x 42 cm].
This piece reflects my love for open-ended exploration, where the process itself guides the outcome. Rather than following a set plan, I let the work take shape as I go, inspired by the connection between memory and space. Inspired by Hilla and Bernd Becher’s work, I use the grid format to approach these abandoned structures as visual “maps” of an industrial past.
A big part of this work involves using everyday cardboard packaging as the base for my plates. This choice not only recycles overlooked materials but also adds a layer of meaning, turning something ordinary into something more. By working with these familiar materials, I focus less on perfect technique and more on the textures and stories they bring to the piece.
In the end, this piece is about embracing the unexpected and staying open to discovery, letting each material help shape the final story.
