In social networks and, consequently, in reality, social masks gain prominence leading to the construction of idealized images and a loss of authenticity. Online anonymity allows for the experimentation of different identities, raising the question: Are we neglecting the natural in favour of the artificial? Social masks have evolved into complex tools of self-representation in the digital age. It is crucial to recognize this duality and reflect on the complexity of the human condition in this growing context of social interaction.
